The United States Amateur Pickleball Association, (USAPA), is a pickleball club that exists as an organization. It offers Pickleball National Championships and club membership programs. Additionally, there is a rules committee which publishes pickleball's official rules.

In November 2009, the USAPA National Tournament held its first event. It attracted over 400 players from 26 States. It received significant media attention. Good Morning America, for instance, featured a live segment about pickleball.

USAPA published the first official book on pickleball construction. The book contains technical information about how to build a pickleball courts, among other things. This was a result of a partnership between the USAPA and the American Sports Builders Association.

Pickleball became increasingly popular. The SFIA Sports and Fitness Industry Association reported a worldwide population of over 2 million pickleballers. People started to play the sport in their local communities, especially retirement homes. Another reason that the sport is so popular is because it's meant for active play.

There are currently over 420 locations throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Mexico. These include recreation centers, indoor sports halls, backyard courts, and indoor sports halls.

The USAPA rebranded this game in 2014. It adopted the color scheme of red, white, and blue. It also updated the logo. As a result, it now has a more contemporary look that is compatible with other national sports governing bodies.

The organization also signed deals with national TV channels. Its website lists more than 420 locations across the US, Canada and Mexico. On top of that, it has more than 17,000 members. The popularity of the game has grown more than 1,000% from its beginning in 2013.

Justin Maloof was named the Executive Director in January 2013. He also restructured the company's internal affairs, staff and personnel. He was joined by nearly 20 employees. Additionally, the company increased the number of regional programs it offered from eight to 11.

The Hall of Fame was established by the organization's efforts in expanding the number of its national tournaments. Enrique Ruiz was among its pickleball players, while Jennifer Lucore was inducted into their Hall of Fame. Inductees into the Hall of Fame were also acknowledged for their contributions.
