Bocce is a game that can be played both for fun and competition. It's a great game to play with your friends or family.

How to play

The first person or team tosses a pallino, the smaller object or target ball that comes in a bocce ball set. They then take turns throwing their bocce balls trying to get closer to the pallino than the opponent's. If they do, their bocce ball is called "inside." Then, the opponent takes their turn to try to get their bocce ball closer to the pallino than the first team's.

If a team's bocceball touches the ball of the opposing team, they must stand aside and allow the other side to roll its ball. This rule is called the "nearest balls" rule. The game continues alternating until both sides have rolled all their bocce balls.

In competitive bocce there are three types throws: the raffa, the punto and the volo. When playing competitive bocce players must notify the referee what type of throw they intend to use before delivering their bocce balls.
